Silo: Private Photo Vault

Silo protects private photos with real on-device encryption and a separate, believable decoy vault. Create two credentials during setup: • Your Master Passphrase opens your real vault. • Your Decoy PIN opens a separate vault with the same features and appearance. Silo never stores your Master Passphrase. An offline Recovery Code shown during setup can reset it if needed. PRIVACY BY DESIGN • Photos are encrypted before being stored by Silo. • Photo names, albums and metadata stay inside the encrypted vault. • No Silo account, advertising or analytics. • The system photo picker lets you choose photos without granting full-library access. • Auto-lock and an obscured app-switcher view help prevent casual exposure. OPTIONAL PRIVATE ICLOUD BACKUP Back up encrypted vault files to your private iCloud database. Passwords, Recovery Codes and unencrypted photos are never uploaded. Restoring still requires your Master Passphrase or Recovery Code. OPTIONAL DRIFT COVER After setup, you may choose to open Silo as a simple local game. The cover is optional and the first-run setup always explains Silo’s real purpose. Silo supports English and Simplified Chinese. Version 1 stores photos only; video support is not included. Important: If you lose both your Master Passphrase and Recovery Code, Silo cannot recover your real vault.
