About
Tie Dyer is a tie-dye simulator. Fold or twist a piece of cloth, put on rubber bands, squirt dye where you want it, and watch the finished pattern appear on the unfolded cloth. It is a planning tool for real shirts, not a colouring game: the folds are real geometry and the dye really soaks through the layers. FOLD OR TWIST • Accordion pleats, zigzag and diagonal folds, or draw your own fold lines • Spiral mode twists the cloth with a cloth simulation, the way you do it on a table • Every layer is tracked, so you can see exactly which layers a squirt reaches DYE THAT BEHAVES LIKE DYE • Squirt from the top or the bottom of the bundle, with a soak depth in layers • Dye wicks through the stack and along the cloth, then diffuses and fixes • Rubber bands and clamps squeeze the layers and stop the dye front SEE IT BOTH WAYS • The folded bundle and the unfolded pattern update together • Touch a point on the pattern to see where it sits in the bundle, and the other way round • A true 3D view of the bundle you can orbit and pinch, with bands and squirts from any side TAKE IT TO THE SINK • Save a plan and reload it later • Export the pattern as an image through the share sheet • Everything runs on the device; no account, no network, nothing collected Start from the built-in Kikko and Spiral demos, then change a fold, move a band, or pick a different colour and see what happens before you commit real cloth and real dye.Read more
Tie Dyer is a tie-dye simulator. Fold or twist a piece of cloth, put on rubber bands, squirt dye where you want it, and watch the finished pattern appear on the unfolded cloth. It is a planning tool for real shirts, not a colouring game: the folds are real geometry and the dye really soaks through the layers.
FOLD OR TWIST
• Accordion pleats, zigzag and diagonal folds, or draw your own fold lines
• Spiral mode twists the cloth with a cloth simulation, the way you do it on a table
• Every layer is tracked, so you can see exactly which layers a squirt reaches
DYE THAT BEHAVES LIKE DYE
• Squirt from the top or the bottom of the bundle, with a soak depth in layers
• Dye wicks through the stack and along the cloth, then diffuses and fixes
• Rubber bands and clamps squeeze the layers and stop the dye front
SEE IT BOTH WAYS
• The folded bundle and the unfolded pattern update together
• Touch a point on the pattern to see where it sits in the bundle, and the other way round
• A true 3D view of the bundle you can orbit and pinch, with bands and squirts from any side
TAKE IT TO THE SINK
• Save a plan and reload it later
• Export the pattern as an image through the share sheet
• Everything runs on the device; no account, no network, nothing collected
Start from the built-in Kikko and Spiral demos, then change a fold, move a band, or pick a different colour and see what happens before you commit real cloth and real dye.
