About

Aura is a migraine diary built for the moment you can barely look at a screen — and for the appointment months later, when your doctor asks how it's been. LOG IN ONE TAP, EVEN IN THE DARK When an attack starts, you shouldn't have to unlock your phone and fill in a form. Start timing with one tap from the Lock Screen, a Home Screen widget, Control Center or the Action Button — or just say "Hey Siri, I have a migraine in Aura." End it the same way. A Live Activity keeps the timer on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with your usual medicine one tap away. ATTACK MODE: TRUE BLACK, NOTHING BRIGHT While an attack is running, Aura switches to true black with a single dim amber. No animation, large buttons, and haptics instead of light. It isn't a setting buried in a menu — it's what the app does when you need it. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, nothing to sign up for • No server — your diary stays on your iPhone • No analytics, no ads, no tracking • Your data is never sold or shared • Export everything for free, and delete anything, including what Aura saved to Apple Health ADD THE DETAILS LATER — OR NEVER When you're through it, add as much or as little as you like: how bad it got, symptoms, aura, medicines taken, the warning signs before the pain and how long recovery took. Every record, including its times, can be corrected. THE NUMBERS YOUR DOCTOR ASKS FOR • Migraine days and headache days per month • How long attacks last, how bad they get and when they start • Days on acute medication, shown against the published medication-overuse thresholds • Days attacks stopped you, and days of work, school or plans you missed • A clear PDF report to share or print, plus a CSV of every field • And a page explaining how every number was counted, so your clinician can trust it BRING YOUR HISTORY WITH YOU Import past attacks from another diary app's CSV export. HONEST INSIGHTS, NOT GUESSES Aura doesn't rank "triggers" or predict attacks. Where your diary has enough data, it compares your attack days with your other days — for sleep, barometric pressure and cycle timing — and shows how certain that comparison is. Where there isn't enough data, it says so. WORKS WITH APPLE HEALTH Save each attack to the Health app as a Headache entry, with its real severity, start and end. If you choose, Aura can also read sleep and menstrual cycle days to compare with your attacks. WEATHER, ONLY IF IT AFFECTS YOU Tell Aura weather affects you, and it records the barometric pressure when you log an attack and can warn you before a big pressure drop. If you don't, no weather lookup ever happens. GENTLE BY DEFAULT No streaks, no daily check-ins, no guilt. At most: one optional offer to add details after an attack, a medication-overuse heads-up, and a pressure alert if you ask for one. Aura is a diary, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, predict or recommend treatment. If a headache is sudden and severe, the worst of your life, or comes with fever, a stiff neck, confusion, weakness or a seizure, get emergency help immediately.
