About

Some feelings resist long explanations, yet they can begin with a line, a loop, a cluster of dots, or a quiet area left untouched. EmotiTrace: AR Mood Journal is a private creative journal for iPhone that connects lightweight mood check-ins, abstract augmented-reality guidance, drawing on real paper, and a gentle before-and-after reflection. You do not need drawing experience, and you never have to turn a feeling into a perfect label. Choose what feels closest, let the app create an original abstract trace in the camera view, and follow it, reshape it, or leave it behind completely. There are no artwork scores, rankings, or standards to meet. Each entry starts with a simple emotional check-in. Select one or two feelings, choose a personal intensity from one to five, and set an intention such as leaving a trace, slowing down, sorting things out, or drawing freely. Context tags and a short note are optional, so an entry can remain quick or carry more detail when you want it. EmotiTrace does not infer emotion from your writing, artwork, photos, or camera view. Every feeling and intensity value is selected by you and used only to organize your private entries and shape the starting geometry. The AR canvas places original lines, loops, waves, dots, translucent regions, and open paths over a live view of your paper. Move, scale, rotate, mirror, lock, hide, or adjust the opacity of the guide until it feels useful. The guide is not a tracing assignment and does not define what your drawing should become. It is simply a way to begin. If paper tracking is unstable or camera use is not convenient, a static reference mode keeps the core drawing and journaling experience available. An optional quiet timer records how long you stayed with the page without turning that time into a target or performance score. When a blank page feels difficult, built-in prompt cards offer open creative actions. Try letting a line move around the busiest area, repeating a shape until it changes, or leaving the center untouched. Prompts are organized around direction, speed, density, boundaries, repetition, and negative space. They are stored with the app, work offline, and can be changed, saved, or disabled. They never provide a required picture or a correct result. After drawing, choose how you feel now and compare it with the state you selected before starting. You may describe the shift as staying, easing, or turning, or leave it undescribed. These words are always your choice; EmotiTrace does not calculate a judgment. Add one reflective sentence, note the materials you used—such as pencil, marker, watercolor, crayon, or collage—and select up to six representative colors. Colors remain personal visual references and are never treated as universal meanings for emotion. Taking a snapshot of the paper artwork is optional. When you choose to capture one, it is stored in the app’s private space on your device. An entry remains complete without a photo because it can retain the selected feelings, note, abstract seed, timing, materials, colors, and guide parameters. EmotiTrace does not continuously record the camera view or environmental audio. Trace Replay stores only lightweight vector events such as guide creation, movement, rotation, hiding, pauses, and markers, allowing the creative rhythm to be reconstructed without keeping a video of the room. Layered Traces let one physical page hold more than one moment. Return to an earlier work, align the paper with its edges or reference points, and add another independent layer. Every layer can keep its own date, feelings, note, timing, abstract parameters, and optional snapshot. Show or hide layers, compare two moments, or use manual opacity, scale, and rotation controls when automatic alignment needs adjustment.Read more
