CheckFlicks

Set your child's age. See which scenes to skip. CheckFlicks gives you a scene-by-scene map of a film before you press play — what happens, when, and how strong it is, so you can decide what your child watches and what they don't. SET THE AGE Move the slider and every film re-sorts around that child. What works at ten may not work at six, and the app says so rather than leaving you to guess. NO SPOILERS UNLESS YOU ASK Descriptions stay hidden by default. Tap to reveal the detail only when you actually want it. WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL Download the catalogue once and every skip map stays on your device — in a cinema, on a plane, anywhere with no reception. CHECK A FILM FROM ANYWHERE Share a film from your streaming app or a text message and get the content picture back without leaving what you were doing. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN A widget showing films that suit your child's age tonight. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS Some timings are measured against the film itself, and some are still approximate. Every guide says which. We improve them every day. They're a good guide rather than the last word, so trust your own judgement on anything that really matters. If something looks wrong, tell us from inside the app. FREE, AND QUIET ABOUT IT No sign-in. No ads. No adverts that follow your family around.
