About
Bar Cards is a cocktail recipe app and shot recipe book in one: 185 cocktails and 114 shooters, each on its own card with the ingredients, the method, the tools, the glass and a hand-drawn picture of the finished drink. It works offline, so it is there behind the bar, at a party or on holiday with no signal. Every recipe is free. HOW YOU FIND A DRINK • Browse by spirit: brandy, gin, rum, tequila, vodka, whiskey, scotch, sake, soju, sparkling wine, dessert drinks and the amaro and bitters shelf. • Search by drink name or by ingredient. • Filter for no shaker, five ingredients or fewer, quick drinks, sweet drinks or by glass. • Every card shows flavour notes and a sweet-to-tart meter, so you know what you are getting before you pour. MIXOLOGY MADE SIMPLE • Switch every measure between millilitres, centilitres and ounces with one tap. • Scale a recipe for one, two, four, or a pitcher of eight. • Step-by-step mode shows one instruction at a time in large type, and the screen stays on while you mix. • The tools and glassware for each drink are listed, from jigger and bar spoon to Hawthorne strainer. YOUR HOME BAR • Tick the bottles you own in My Bar. • See the drinks you can make right now, and the ones a bottle or two away. • Pantry staples such as ice, sugar, lemon, lime and soda are assumed, so the list stays short. MAKE IT YOURS • Save favourites and rate drinks out of five. • Keep your own notes on a drink and log each time you made it. • Add your own photo to any drink. • Share a drink as a picture card with friends. THE CLASSICS AND BEYOND Margarita, Mojito, Negroni, Martini, Espresso Martini, Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Daiquiri, Cosmopolitan, Whiskey Sour, Mai Tai, Piña Colada, Aperol Spritz, Moscow Mule, French 75, Sidecar, Caipirinha, Paloma, Bloody Mary, Irish Coffee, Long Island Iced Tea and many more. Recipes come from a printed bartender's card deck and published sources: the IBA official cocktails, Difford's Guide, and the classics of South Africa, Japan and Korea. Where the deck and the official recipe differ, both are there and you choose. PARTY SHOTS AND SHOOTERS B-52, Kamikaze, Lemon Drop, Jägerbomb, Baby Guinness, Springbokkie and over a hundred more layered shots and shooters. SEND US YOUR RECIPE Got a drink we should add? Send it from the app. Accepted recipes become a new card with a drawing and your first name on it. Made a drink from the app? Send us a photo. FULL BAR, ONE PURCHASE Every recipe is free. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your favourites, ratings, notes and bottles stay on your phone. No account, no ads, no tracking. A recipe or photo only leaves your phone when you send it to us yourself.
