About
Salvage shows how full your iPhone is, where its free space is heading, and tells you once when it runs low. It reads the phone. It deletes nothing. FREE SPACE, AS THE FILE SYSTEM REPORTS IT The free figure is what the file system reports right now. Space that iOS could purge by itself when it needs room is shown on a line of its own, only when iOS gives it, and is never added to the free figure. WHERE IT IS HEADING Salvage writes down free space at most once an hour: while you use it, and when iOS runs its background check. After a day of readings it tells you whether the phone is filling or freeing, by how much a week, and, if it is filling, in about how many days it will be full. The last two weeks are drawn beside it as one thin line. ONE ALERT, UNDER A LINE YOU PICK Choose 2, 5 or 10 GB. When free space falls under that line, you get one local notification: once per crossing, not every hour. The check can run by itself daily or every 6 hours; iOS decides the exact moment, at most as often as you chose. If Background App Refresh is off for Salvage, the app says so, and the check runs only while the app is open. WHAT FILLS THE PHONE With your permission, Salvage counts your photos and videos. It shows how many there are, not how much space they take: iOS gives an app no public way to measure the photo library, and Salvage does not use a private one. If you allow only some photos, it counts only those and says so. The rest of the used space is shown on one line that gathers the system and everything the app could not read, because what an app may not read is not zero. MEMORY, BATTERY, ABOUT THIS PHONE Memory in use and available, the battery level and whether it is charging. A screen about the phone itself lists the model, the model identifier, the iOS version, memory, storage, the screen, the kernel and the identifierForVendor, and tells you where iOS shows the IMEI, since it gives the IMEI to no app. Tap a row to copy it. WHY IT DELETES NOTHING iOS keeps every app to itself: no app can see or delete another app's files or caches. So Salvage has no delete button. Space is freed in Settings > General > iPhone Storage. The app names that page, because iOS does not let an app open it directly. NOTHING LEAVES THE PHONE No account, no analytics, no ads, no network requests. The readings stay in the app's own storage, on the phone. English, Romanian and Russian. Light and dark.Read more

FREE SPACE, AS THE FILE SYSTEM REPORTS IT
The free figure is what the file system reports right now. Space that iOS could purge by itself when it needs room is shown on a line of its own, only when iOS gives it, and is never added to the free figure.
WHERE IT IS HEADING
Salvage writes down free space at most once an hour: while you use it, and when iOS runs its background check. After a day of readings it tells you whether the phone is filling or freeing, by how much a week, and, if it is filling, in about how many days it will be full. The last two weeks are drawn beside it as one thin line.
ONE ALERT, UNDER A LINE YOU PICK
Choose 2, 5 or 10 GB. When free space falls under that line, you get one local notification: once per crossing, not every hour. The check can run by itself daily or every 6 hours; iOS decides the exact moment, at most as often as you chose. If Background App Refresh is off for Salvage, the app says so, and the check runs only while the app is open.
WHAT FILLS THE PHONE

It shows how many there are, not how much space they take: iOS gives an app no public way to measure the photo library, and Salvage does not use a private one. If you allow only some photos, it counts only those and says so. WHY IT DELETES NOTHING
iOS keeps every app to itself: no app can see or delete another app's files or caches. So Salvage has no delete button. Space is freed in Settings > General > iPhone Storage. The app names that page, because iOS does not let an app open it directly.
