About
VELRO Driver is the driver's side of VELRO, the intercity ride service between Kabul, Parwan and Ghorband. Passengers name the price they want to pay for a seat. You see their requests and answer with your own fare. When a passenger picks your offer, the trip is yours. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Go online to see the passengers who are waiting: where they are going, the day and hour, how many seats, and the fare they are asking. • Accept the asking fare in one tap, or offer your own, with a note for the passenger. • Keep each trip on one card: the booking, a button to call the passenger, and each passenger's boarding code to check before you leave. • Drive with the ride map: your route, and warnings about curves and dangerous stretches of the road ahead. • See what you earn by day, week and month, your trips, VELRO's commission, and what has been settled. • Send your driving licence, tazkira and car papers from your phone, and follow their review. • Get help fast: emergency numbers you can call without internet, and a report straight to VELRO. • Use the app in Dari, Pashto or English. HOW IT WORKS Your phone number is your account: you sign in with a one-time code, with no password. Passengers pay you in cash; there are no payments in the app. Your documents and your car are reviewed before you can go online. While you carry a trip, the app uses your location, also with the phone in your pocket, to show your car to the passengers you are driving and to warn you about the road ahead; iOS shows this in the status bar, and it stops when the trip ends. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time (Profile → Delete account).
