About
Travel Sri Lanka with people who live here. Sri Lanka Journeys is an offline guide to the island from a travel company registered in Sri Lanka. Thirty-four places, twenty-one guides and four itineraries, written by people who can check a road, a fee or a train before they tell you about it. No account. No ads. Nothing to buy inside the app. WHAT IS IN THE APP - 34 places across 7 regions: the Cultural Triangle, Kandy and the hill country, the south coast, Colombo and the west coast, the east coast, the wildlife parks and the north. Each place has our honest verdict, what to see, how long to give it, where to stay, and the questions travellers actually ask. - 21 long-form guides: the best time to visit, the Sri Lanka ETA explained properly, flights, getting around, the Kandy to Ella train, Sri Lanka on a budget, Sri Lanka at the top end, which national park to choose, whale watching, safety, what first-time visitors get wrong, things to do, surfing, what to pack, the best beaches, the south, backpacking, solo female travel, family trips, group tours, and Ceylon tea country. - 4 itineraries with real drive times: 5 days, 7 days, 10 days and 2 weeks. Each one says who it suits and what it leaves out, because five days is not enough for the hills and the coast both. - A saved list. Tap the heart on any place, guide or itinerary and it waits for you. - Pick the regions you are interested in and we show those first. - Dark, light, or whatever your phone is set to. IT WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL Every guide, place and itinerary is stored inside the app, so it opens on the plane, in the hills, and on the Kandy to Ella train. Photos load when you have a connection. WHY WE WROTE IT Almost everything written in English about travelling Sri Lanka is written by people who visited once. It goes out of date, it misses the things only residents know, and it cannot help you at 9pm when a plan falls apart. We live here, so we can check a fee, a road or a train before we tell you about it. That is why the drive times in the itineraries are what the roads actually take, and why the verdicts say when a place is worth it and when it is not. Where we are not sure, we say so. TALK TO A LOCAL TEAM When you want a driver, somewhere to sleep, a licensed guide or a car of your own, there is a WhatsApp button that reaches a real team in Sri Lanka. No booking engine, no pressure, no account. WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO - It does not book anything. - It does not ask you to sign in. - It does not collect anything about you. No account, no analytics, no tracking. - It is not a map or a navigation app. Sri Lanka Journeys is made by Clever Hub (Private) Limited, a company registered in Sri Lanka in 2024, registration PV00308620.
