About
Should you put the washing out? Laundry Window answers that — for right now, and for the next seven days. It reads the weather where you are, or anywhere you care to name, and works out when a load will actually dry. WHAT IT TELLS YOU • Put it out now, wait, or don't bother — one answer, in colour, at the top of the screen • The best window today, and how long a load will take in it • Why: temperature, humidity, wind, sun and rain, hour by hour • The next seven days, so you can pick your day HOW IT WORKS This is not a rain check. Washing dries by evaporation, so the app models the three things that drive it: how much more moisture the air could hold, how much wind is moving across the line, and how much sun is falling on it. That is why a bright, still, humid day can dry worse than a breezy grey one. Tell it about your line — full sun or sheltered — and how big the load is, and every number adjusts. DRYING INDOORS No garden, or a week of rain? Switch to indoor and it estimates a clothes airer instead: no sun, and very little moving air. REMINDERS • Wash day — pick the days of the week and the time • An hour before each drying window opens • When rain is coming for washing already on the line HOME SCREEN WIDGET The answer without opening the app, keeping itself up to date through the day. ANY TOWN ON EARTH Search for a place and get its own local answer, on its own clock — a second home, a parent's house, or somewhere you are travelling to. NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS, NO TRACKING There is no sign-in, no profile and no server of ours. Nothing you do is recorded anywhere but on your device. No analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking of any kind. The only thing that leaves your phone is the place a forecast is needed for. Free, with nothing to buy. Should you put the washing out?
Laundry Window answers that — for right now, and for the next seven
days. It reads the weather where you are, or anywhere you care to name,
and works out when a load will actually dry.
WHAT IT TELLS YOU
• Put it out now, wait, or don't bother — one answer, in colour, at the
top of the screen
• The best window today, and how long a load will take in it
• Why: temperature, humidity, wind, sun and rain, hour by hour
• The next seven days, so you can pick your day
HOW IT WORKS
This is not a rain check. Washing dries by evaporation, so the app
models the three things that drive it: how much more moisture the air
could hold, how much wind is moving across the line, and how much sun is
falling on it. That is why a bright, still, humid day can dry worse than
a breezy grey one.
Tell it about your line — full sun or sheltered — and how big the load
is, and every number adjusts.
DRYING INDOORS
No garden, or a week of rain? Switch to indoor and it estimates a
clothes airer instead: no sun, and very little moving air.
REMINDERS
• Wash day — pick the days of the week and the time
• An hour before each drying window opens
• When rain is coming for washing already on the line
HOME SCREEN WIDGET
The answer without opening the app, keeping itself up to date through
the day.
ANY TOWN ON EARTH
Search for a place and get its own local answer, on its own clock —
a second home, a parent's house, or somewhere you are travelling to.
NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS, NO TRACKING
There is no sign-in, no profile and no server of ours. Nothing you do is
recorded anywhere but on your device. No analytics, no advertising, no
crash reporting and no third-party tracking of any kind. The only thing
that leaves your phone is the place a forecast is needed for.
