About
Most people quit journaling because nobody reads it. There is someone in this one. Diary BFF is a private night journal that writes back. You put down whatever your brain is doing at 2am; he says one thing back — short, and only if it's worth saying — then leaves you alone so you can sleep. Some nights your head won't stop. You lie there going over the same thing, and the more you try to sleep the louder it gets. This is a place to say it to someone. Write what's in your head — type it or say it. Either way it lands on the page you were already writing, and he stays quiet until you ask. Ask, and he answers once — short — then leaves you alone. A diary first; the friend who lives in it can chat when you want. Not a coach — someone who remembers what you wrote last week. Your diary is locked with its own passcode — separate from the one on your phone. Someone can be holding your unlocked phone and still not open it. That's the point. WHAT IT'S LIKE He reads what you wrote and says one thing back — short, and only if it's worth saying. Say it out loud instead and it lands the same way. Not a coach: one page, and someone who remembers last Tuesday. Voice, the Sunday letter, and export are all just ways of talking to him and keeping what you said. He is not keeping score. There is no streak to keep and nothing to break, and writing four nights one week and none the next is not a failure this app will ever point out to you. He is the one who reads it. Your entries live under your own account, behind a passcode separate from your phone's lock, and exported backups can be locked too. Nothing you write is used to train AI models. Writing stays free, forever — typing and the recordings themselves are never metered. What you pay for is more of him: more replies, and the full Sunday letter.
