About
Build the backing. Play your part. Traknotta puts a sequencer, a backing-track generator and a multitrack recorder in one app for iPhone and iPad. Program a groove, jam over a chord chart, record your instrument and mix the take, all offline, all on one screen. PRACTICE WITH A BAND IN YOUR POCKET • 100 original practice songs in 15 genres: blues, jazz, funk, R&B, bossa, Latin, pop, rock, metal, hip-hop, dance, country, reggae, world and ballads. • Pick any of 12 keys, a tempo from 25 to 300 BPM and 1 to 16 choruses. • Follow the live chord chart with the current and next chord, chorus and bar position, and a practice tip for each song. • Mute drums, bass or keys and take their place. Tap a bar to start from there. • Press REC and capture your solo as audio or MIDI after a one-bar count-in. • Search by genre or theme (pentatonic, ii-V, modes, slash chords, tensions and more) and star your favorites. TURN A PATTERN INTO A SONG • Piano-roll grid with step entry from an on-screen keyboard. • 274 sampled instrument voices and 13 drum kits, with category browsing, search and audition. • 40 backing styles, each with intro, two main sections, fills and ending, driven by your chord progression. • 548 instrument phrases you can drop into any pattern. • 16 sequence tracks plus 8 backing parts. On-bass chords, chords within a beat and 8 progression templates. • Quantize, transpose, velocity, gate and shift jobs over any range. Tempo changes inside a song. 3/4, 4/4 and 6/8. RECORD, MIX AND KEEP THE TAKE • Up to 8 audio tracks, recording 2 at once from the built-in mic or an external audio interface. • Count-in, markers and a tuner. • Trim, split, duplicate, loop, move and fade regions. Time-stretch 50 to 150% without changing pitch. • Per-track compressor, gate, limiter, 3-band EQ, 4 drive types, tempo delay and 13 reverbs. Two shared sends and savable effect patches. • Freeze instrument tracks to audio. SHARE YOUR WORK • Export a 24-bit / 44.1 kHz stereo WAV mix, individual track WAVs (wet or dry) or a Standard MIDI File. • Import SMF 0/1 files into a new or existing song. • Share a complete project package, recordings included, and reopen it on another device. • Build playlists for rehearsal and live use. MIDI • Play and record from USB or Bluetooth MIDI keyboards, one track or several channels at once. • Record and edit control changes, program changes, pitch bend and pressure. • Send MIDI Clock to sync external gear. DESIGNED FOR PLAYERS Cream panels, a green display and physical-style keys, inspired by the pocket sequencers and multitrack recorders that musicians have carried for decades.
