About
Aviary turns a spare iPad into an always-on panel for your home. Mount it in the hallway or stand it on the counter, and see your cameras and accessories at a glance - without unlocking anything, opening an app, or asking. WHAT YOU SEE Cameras. Live feeds from the cameras in your home, side by side. Tap one to fill the screen. Smart Home. The alarm, locks, thermostats, lights, and sensors in your home, in one place. Motion and contact sensors surface as they trigger. Lights appear when they are on. Clock and weather. The time, and a background that shifts with the weather and the hour, so the display looks different at breakfast than it does at midnight. Twelve quieter preset backgrounds if you would rather it stayed still. BUILT TO STAY ON Aviary is designed for a screen that never turns off. It dims on a schedule, shifts its content a few pixels at a time to reduce burn-in risk, and keeps the display awake while it is open. SHOWS, DOES NOT TOUCH Aviary displays the status of your accessories. It does not control them. It will never unlock a door, disarm an alarm, change a thermostat, or switch a light. If you want to change something, the Home app is a swipe away. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your home data stays on your iPad. Accessory names, states, and camera video are read on the device and drawn on screen. Camera video is never recorded, stored, or uploaded. Weather is the only thing that leaves, and only the location you choose. REQUIREMENTS Aviary reads your accessories through HomeKit, on the device, and requires accessories already set up in the Home app. Designed for iPad, in landscape. There is nothing to display without accessories in your home. Apple, iPad, HomeKit, and Apple Home are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.Read more
