About

Captions tell you what was said. In a room full of people, you also need to know who said it. CaptiVision Host turns your iPad into a captioning studio for Deaf and hard of hearing people. A few iPhones running the free CaptiVision Client app stand around the room. The iPad finds the person talking, magnifies them on screen, and writes live captions with their name in front of every line. SEE WHO IS SPEAKING • The person talking is magnified in a lens, with the rest of the picture dimmed. • The camera view showing them gets a bright border, and the view can follow them from camera to camera. • Detection watches whose lips match the sound, so someone nodding or chewing is not mistaken for the speaker. • A person seen by one camera and heard by another is one person, with one name. CAPTIONS WITH NAMES • Every line reads [Name]: what they said, at the bottom of the screen, in the size you choose. • Name someone once and everything they already said updates too. • The Speakers list shows everyone who has spoken, with a photo taken from the camera. • Someone hidden behind a microphone? Draw a box around them and they become the speaker straight away. • One person keeps one name: someone who turns away, walks or is filmed by another camera is recognized again by where they were, how they look and how they sound; all on your iPad. BUILT FOR REAL ROOMS • Up to six cameras, with every phone's battery, temperature and sound level on screen. • Grid, Auto (follows the speaker) and Two-Feed, which keeps a sign language interpreter beside the speaker. • Choose Apple's on-device speech engine or a Whisper model, and check captions work before people arrive. • Record every camera with its captions, a transcript with names and times, and the session log, into a folder you choose. • When you leave, every camera is told and closes its camera view. • Turn on "Approve each camera" and nobody joins until you let them in. NOTHING LEAVES THE ROOM Video, sound, captions, photos and names stay on your iPad and your own Wi-Fi. Speech is turned into text on the iPad/Mac itself. Once set up, a session needs no internet connection at all. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. CAPTIVISION PRO Use everything free for your first week. After that, CaptiVision Pro is needed to start sessions: • Monthly: $9.99 per month, starting with a one-week free trial. • Yearly: $99.99 per year. Prices may vary by country. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription. YOU ALSO NEED One or more iPhones with CaptiVision Client (free), on the same Wi-Fi as the iPad.
