Wind for the water you sail. Telltale puts live readings from nearby weather stations and buoys on a map, lays the forecast models side by side, and tells you how today's wind will go in one line. SEE THE WIND NOW The map shows the wind measured at stations around you, with the models' wind flowing between them. Tap a station for its recent readings, or anywhere on the water for what the forecasts say there. COMPARE THE FORECASTS HRDPS, HRRR, ECMWF and others, side by side for the spot you're looking at. The model that has been closest to recent station readings nearby is marked, so you know which one to lean on today. TODAY IN ONE LINE "Building to 14 kn by 14:00, easing to 8 kn by 18:00." A short summary of the day's wind leads the drawer, above the models and the stations. HOUR BY HOUR Drop a pin on any spot for a table of every model, hour by hour, with gusts and the spread between them. CURRENTS AND TIDE Tidal currents through the passes, tide heights and current models, for the Salish Sea and beyond. SCRUB THROUGH TIME Slide back through what was measured, or ahead through the forecast, 6, 24 or 48 hours either way. SPOTS AND ALERTS Save the places you sail and get a note when the wind there is what you're after. THEN GO SAILING Record your sail with your iPhone's GPS, or connect to compatible boat instruments over the boat's Wi-Fi for wind, boat speed and depth. Review each session on the chart and the log strip, compare against your boat's polar, and see your heart rate from your Apple Watch alongside the wind. The watch shows live wind, boat speed and depth, and runs your start timer. YOUR SAILS STAY YOURS Sessions are private by default, your home berth is hidden from anyone outside your crew, and your heart rate stays private unless you choose to share it. Download recordings as GPX, FIT or CSV. A free account supports two boats. Boat instrument readings need compatible equipment. Telltale is not a navigation aid.
