About
lambit2FA keeps your two-factor codes in your phone and can sync them across all your devices. The codes are yours alone. We do not store them on our servers. HOW IT WORKS No sign-up. None of your personal information is needed. The keys live in the phone’s protected storage and never enter an iCloud backup. Important: so that you do not lose your codes, save them into an archive or sync the app with another device. The app reminds you now and then to make a copy. MOVING CODES IN FROM OTHER APPS From a second device — with the camera, off the QR code (about ten codes at a time). From this same phone — from a screenshot or a file. Where your codes can easily be imported from: Google Authenticator (a whole batch in one QR), Aegis, Ente Auth, 2FAS, andOTP. A list of otpauth:// links can also be imported, and so can a password export in a JSON file. An export closed with a password will not do: we do not break other people’s encryption, so make one without a password. If you used photos of QR codes for the import, then after the move the app shows you, with pictures, exactly which screenshots to delete: they carry your keys in the clear. EXPORTING CODES As a batch file in the Google format — Google Authenticator, 2FAS, Aegis and Ente Auth all take it. For Microsoft Authenticator — export one by one, as separate QR codes, with “Next” and “Stop” buttons. The codes are yours, and you can take them away at any moment. HOW IT DIFFERS FROM GOOGLE AUTHENTICATOR No account needed — neither ours nor anybody else’s. A real backup: a file under your own password that you can put anywhere and restore on any device. Groups, search, Face ID entry and auto-lock. ORDER IN THE LIST OF CODES, WITH GROUPS Your own groups: personal codes apart from work ones. Groups collapse, reorder, and travel inside the backup. THE BACKUP The file is encrypted with AES-256 using a key derived from your password. Without that password the file is useless — to us as well. Send it by mail, put it on a drive, or save it into Files. SYNC ACROSS YOUR DEVICES All your devices stay in sync and share one set of codes. Turn sync on in the settings. It goes through our server, which cannot read your codes, because they are under your own password. We merely pass files along and have no way of knowing whose they are. ON YOUR OTHER DEVICES TOO Already available on all your popular devices. The app also installs on iPad. Full sync of your codes across all platforms. YOU CAN KEEP UP TO 300 CODES. No subscriptions and no purchases inside the app. No advertising. WHAT IS NOT HERE No account. No tracking, no third-party ad libraries. No camera access until you open the scanner yourself, and no access to your gallery: you pick the screenshot, the app does not browse it.Read more
