SAIN: Sankara AI Network

SAIN brings together the people building artificial intelligence in Africa and its diaspora: researchers, engineers, students, entrepreneurs and decision-makers. A network to find each other, learn together and seize the right opportunities. FIND THE RIGHT PEOPLE Search in plain language, for example "data scientist in Ouagadougou" or "computer vision specialist". Search understands what you mean, not just the words you type. Explore the network in 3D: members, countries and the diaspora connected on an interactive map. Discover profiles close to yours, suggested automatically. NEVER MISS AN OPPORTUNITY Jobs, internships, assignments and projects, shared by members. Every opportunity posted is compared with member profiles. If it matches yours, you are notified, with no need to keep checking the feed. SANKOFA, THE NETWORK'S ASSISTANT Ask a question such as "who works on natural language processing?" and get an answer built from what the community has actually published, with its sources shown. Sankofa is named after the Adinkra symbol of the bird that looks back to retrieve what it left behind. It draws on the network's memory. Sankofa runs on SAIN's own servers: your questions are not sent to any external artificial intelligence service. LEARN AND SHARE Posts and in-depth articles written by members, which you can translate with a long press. Curated resources: courses, books, tutorials, datasets. Community challenges to tackle real-world problems. An idea lab to pitch a project and find the people who will build it with you. CONNECT AND MEET Direct messaging between members. Network events, webinars and meetups, with one-tap registration. A weekly summary of what happened in the community. YOUR ACCOUNT, YOUR DATA Lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID, after a delay you choose. Your biometric data never leaves your device. Reporting and blocking available on all content and all members. Delete your account and your data from within the app, at any time. SAIN is intended for adults. It is an initiative of Dr Sambo Kalifa Sankara. sainspace.com
