About
StepKit is a pedometer that stays out of your way: steps counted on this iPhone, a real Apple Watch app with your heart rate, and Home and Lock Screen widgets that actually work — all free. Reading Apple Health to fill in the days before you installed it is free too. ALWAYS ON YOUR WRIST AND HOME SCREEN Four Home Screen widgets and four Lock Screen widgets show today's steps, this week, a 16-week heatmap, or today's distance — pick what you want to see and it's there without opening the app. On Apple Watch, two complications put today's percentage or step count right on the watch face. None of this sits behind Pro. A WALK OF ITS OWN Tap Start and StepKit tracks one walk at a time: steps, elapsed time, distance, pace, an estimated calorie count, and your cadence over the last minute. On Apple Watch, a walk is a real workout — it keeps running with your wrist down, reads your heart rate, and saves itself to Apple Health when you're done. READS HEALTH, ASKS FOR NOTHING ELSE Your iPhone's own motion sensor already counts steps for the last seven days. Turning on Apple Health sync — optional, and free — brings in every day before that, since Health already merges your iPhone and Watch totals. StepKit shows no ads, asks for no account, and your step history never leaves your devices. GOALS, A STREAK, AND SOME SMALL WINS Set a daily goal anywhere from 2,000 to 30,000 steps, in steps of 500, and StepKit tracks your streak against a weekly target of five goal days out of seven. History shows a week or month as a bar chart against your goal line, plus the 16-week heatmap. Forty-four awards in six series mark real milestones along the way: a first 10,000-step day, 100 days at your goal, a week over 100,000 steps, a year-long streak. NOTIFICATIONS THAT FOLLOW YOUR DAY As the day goes on, StepKit tells you when you've passed halfway, when you're nearly there and when the goal is done, with your count at that moment. On a quiet day it nudges you at 1 p.m., and again in the evening if the goal is still open. At the start of each week it sums up the last one: your total, your best day, your goal days and how it compares, ready to share. Every notification has its own switch, and none of them come from a server. WHAT STEPKIT PRO ADDS Reading Health, walking, widgets, goals, notifications and awards are free, permanently. StepKit Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time purchase — no free trial, and the price is shown in the app before you buy — and it adds trend charts across your years with what they say in plain words (where this year is heading, your best month, your strongest day), all-time records celebrated the day you beat them, a year view for every year on file with a “My year” card to share, CSV export, and an adaptive goal that rises by a step you choose once your two-week average clears it. It also adds five neon colors for the app and its Home Screen icon.
