About

Vareno - Link Scanner helps you inspect where a link really leads before you decide what to do with it. Paste a URL and Vareno follows up to 12 HTTP or HTTPS redirects, recording each hop so shortened and multi-step links are easier to understand. The app highlights structural risk signals such as look-alike hostnames, punycode domains, plaintext HTTP hops, certificate problems, hidden destination hosts, and other suspicious redirect behavior. Each scan shows the full redirect chain in a clear step-by-step view without rendering the destination page, running scripts, or submitting form data. Vareno is designed for examining links from emails, messages, QR codes, and other sources where the final destination may not be obvious. Scanning a link makes real network requests to the addresses it points to, just as opening the link in a browser would. If a URL contains a unique tracking token, the destination server may learn that the link was accessed from your device’s public IP address. Vareno does not hide or proxy this behavior and clearly discloses it before you rely on a scan. The app focuses on redirect structure and observable technical signals rather than claiming that a link is definitively safe or malicious. Vareno provides a focused on-device workflow for investigating suspicious or shortened URLs with more context before opening them normally.
