WasteAway connects homes, estates and businesses with verified waste collectors, starting in Abuja. Book a pickup when you need one, put your collections on a recurring plan, or sell your recyclables and get paid on weight a collector verifies at your door. Book a one-off pickup Choose the waste type and load size, and see the whole price before you confirm: base price, size, distance, same-day urgency, service fee and VAT, each itemised. A nearby collector claims the job and comes to you. Put your pickups on a plan Pick the days of the week that suit you and collections generate automatically. Change your days, waste type or volume, skip a visit, or pause for up to 30 days, with the new price and any proration shown before you confirm. Sell your recyclables List PET, other plastic, paper and card, glass, steel, aluminium, copper and e-waste. The collector weighs each material at your door and photographs the scale, and you are paid on that verified weight, straight into your wallet. WasteAway pays the collector's commission, so nothing comes out of your payout. Follow the pickup Track your collector on a map with a step-by-step status, from booking confirmed through to completed, and get a photo of the waste that was collected when the job is done. Paying - One wallet: top it up by card, bank transfer (NIP) or USSD, then pay for every pickup from it. - Or pay cash on collection, when the collector arrives. - Wallet payments sit in escrow until the pickup is completed, and refund in full if no collector claims the job in time. - Cards are handled on our PCI-DSS payment processor's secure page. Full card numbers never touch WasteAway. - A transaction PIN, unlocked with Face ID or Touch ID, guards withdrawals and large payments. If something goes wrong Cancel a one-off pickup free up to 2 hours before the slot for a full refund to your wallet, or skip a subscription visit up to 12 hours ahead. Report a problem on any pickup within 3 days and a real person reviews it, with full or partial refunds. For estates and businesses Switch to a business workspace to onboard your units and residents, put them on service plans with multi-unit discounts, bill centrally or per unit, and pull a monthly report showing every collection, unit and cost. For collectors Apply in the app with a government ID, your NIN, a vehicle photo and a guarantor. Once our team approves you, claim nearby jobs on a map with the pay shown before you accept, complete them with a photo or an on-site weigh-in, and withdraw your earnings to your bank account.
