Almost Darts: Roguelike

A darts game where the board itself is yours to rebuild. HOW IT PLAYS Every throw is two taps. A line sweeps around the board — tap to lock the number you want. A marker runs out along that line — tap again to lock the ring. Land in the thin inner ring and you score triple. Land in the outer one and you double. Nothing is random. No dice, no hidden roll deciding whether you deserved it. If you miss the treble, you were early or you were late — and next time you won't be. EVERY RUN IS A DIFFERENT BOARD You start at 301 and work down to exactly zero. Clear the leg, open a case, pick one of three. Some of what you find changes how you throw. A dart that makes trebles pay quadruple. Four darts in a visit instead of three. A slower sweep so you can actually pick your number. One that gives you the throw back when you overshoot. The rest changes the board. Make the 19 worth more than it should be. Let the 20 grow wide enough to swallow the number beside it. Take a number off the board completely so it can never steal another throw from you. Eight legs in, you're throwing at a board nobody else has ever seen. THE RUN Eight legs, about ten minutes. Every leg the target climbs, the rings get thinner, and the board starts to turn — so the number you learned is never quite where you left it. The last two legs won't let you finish on anything but a double. Lose and the board is gone. Go build a better one. Finish runs to unlock more darts to find in the next one.
