About
Our Kitchen Table keeps the dishes of your home, along with the people who made them. No data collected. A one-time purchase, not a subscription. Your mother's miso soup. The New Year soup your grandmother made every January. Your father's curry. The dishes that were always on the table are the ones nobody ever writes down. Our Kitchen Table keeps them, one photo and a few lines at a time. [Keeping a dish] All you need is the name. The photo, the season, the occasion, the notes, the story - write only the parts you feel like writing. No measurements needed. Just the way you remember it. "Mom's miso soup, with the dashi on the strong side" is enough. [Along with who made it] Every dish can carry a cook. Your table filters by person, and the heading reads "12 dishes from 3 people." Remove a cook and the dishes stay where they are. [The days you cooked it] When you make one of them yourself, tap "Cooked it" and the days line up, with this year's count (Premium). [Widget] On your Home Screen it quietly offers one dish: "Around this time last year," then "A taste of this season," then "Today's dish." There are no reminders to write something down. In fact, there are no notifications at all. [The "Our Kitchen Table" booklet (PDF)] Turn what you have kept into a booklet with the photos and hand it to your family (Premium). The PDF is arranged in chapters, one for each cook. [Pricing] Recording, editing, deleting and importing a backup are free forever. On the free plan you can keep 10 dishes and 3 cooks, and everything you have kept stays visible. A one-time Our Kitchen Table Premium purchase raises those to 300 dishes and 30 cooks, and opens the cooked-it log, the medium and large widgets, the "Our Kitchen Table" booklet (PDF), export to a JSON file, and iCloud sync. There is no subscription. [Privacy] Our Kitchen Table never connects to the internet, except to process a purchase and - only if you turn it on - to sync with your own iCloud. No account, no developer server, no ads, and no location tracking. Photos come in one at a time: only the single image you pick is handed to the app. Your records live on this device. Only when you turn on iCloud sync are they also kept in the private part of your own iCloud account, where the developer cannot reach them. Importing a backup stays free, so your records survive a phone upgrade (photos are not included in the JSON export). The app never touches what you write. No suggestions, no analysis, no AI. The only people who read your notes are you and the family you hand the booklet to. Start with one dish.Read more
