About
Plan a library collection move from measured shelf space to the final shelf reading. ShelfWaypoint helps library and archive staff arrange ordered collection segments across destination shelves, reserve growth space, and turn an approved plan into a cart-by-cart route on iPad and iPhone. MEASURE AND COMPARE Enter source segments and destination shelves, or import measurements using the supplied CSV format. Work in inches, centimeters, or feet. Set target fill, account for shelf obstructions, and identify whole segments, oversize material, and fixed shelf starts. Save draft scenarios and compare their capacity and placement results. APPROVE A ROUTE See where measured material will fit and where the plan needs attention. Approval preserves the measurements, allocation, and cart sequence for that version. Later draft edits leave the approved route intact. GUIDE THE MOVE Follow ordered waves and carts. Record the observed first and last labels, an operator label, and load/unload checkpoints. Resume from the last saved checkpoint. Use supported-device camera scanning or manual entry to identify a cart checkpoint, then confirm the physical action. VERIFY THE RESULT Record exceptions with an owner and current physical location. Confirm a destination or document a deferral. Complete shelf readings with observed bounds and actual occupied length. The audit retains earlier observations and clearly identifies deferred work. REPORT AND KEEP YOUR RECORDS Professional adds PDF move packets, source and destination signs, cart labels with QR checkpoints, and CSV audit reports. Choose Letter or A4, preview the packet, and use system sharing or printing. JSON project backups and restoration are available without a purchase. Local archives preserve the current saved project when you create or restore another project. START FREE Explore the fictional Riverside demonstration, including its sample reports. Free projects support up to six destination shelves and two waves each. ShelfWaypoint Professional is an optional, one-time purchase that unlocks larger project approvals and PDF/CSV reports for real projects. There is no subscription. LOCAL BY DESIGN Project work is saved on your device. No ShelfWaypoint account is required. Planning and checkpoint recording work offline; App Store purchases and restoration of purchases require access to Apple's services. Project files can be shared manually. Automatic cross-device synchronization and cloud collaboration are not included. ShelfWaypoint uses linear measurements and staff-defined sequence. It does not catalog individual books, infer exact call numbers at split points, or determine safe cart weight limits. Staff supply the measurements and observed labels and remain responsible for physical handling and shelf order.Read more
Plan a library collection move from measured shelf space to the final shelf reading.
ShelfWaypoint helps library and archive staff arrange ordered collection segments across destination shelves, reserve growth space, and turn an approved plan into a cart-by-cart route on iPad and iPhone.
MEASURE AND COMPARE
Enter source segments and destination shelves, or import measurements using the supplied CSV format. Work in inches, centimeters, or feet. Set target fill, account for shelf obstructions, and identify whole segments, oversize material, and fixed shelf starts. Save draft scenarios and compare their capacity and placement results.
APPROVE A ROUTE
See where measured material will fit and where the plan needs attention. Approval preserves the measurements, allocation, and cart sequence for that version. Later draft edits leave the approved route intact.
GUIDE THE MOVE
Follow ordered waves and carts. Record the observed first and last labels, an operator label, and load/unload checkpoints. Resume from the last saved checkpoint. Use supported-device camera scanning or manual entry to identify a cart checkpoint, then confirm the physical action.
VERIFY THE RESULT
Record exceptions with an owner and current physical location. Confirm a destination or document a deferral. Complete shelf readings with observed bounds and actual occupied length. The audit retains earlier observations and clearly identifies deferred work.
REPORT AND KEEP YOUR RECORDS
Professional adds PDF move packets, source and destination signs, cart labels with QR checkpoints, and CSV audit reports. Choose Letter or A4, preview the packet, and use system sharing or printing. JSON project backups and restoration are available without a purchase. Local archives preserve the current saved project when you create or restore another project.
