About
Most group plans die somewhere between "yes, I'm in" and the day it actually happens. MySocialCal is built for the group that meets again and again: poker night, the hiking crew, book club, a rec league, the supper club, the guys who golf on Saturdays. Create the group once, put the schedule on the calendar, and let the app handle the part everyone hates. THE DAY-OF CONFIRMATION An RSVP a week out is a guess. People forget, plans change, and nobody wants to be the one texting "are we still on?" to eleven people. So on the day of the event, MySocialCal asks everyone who said yes a single question: still in? Their answer updates a second, separate headcount that sits alongside the original RSVP. You get the number that actually matters, in time to buy the right amount of food or call it off. And because the two numbers are independent, an early yes never quietly turns into a no without somebody saying so. WHAT ELSE IS IN IT Recurring events. Set poker for every other Thursday once and stop rebuilding it. Change one week without disturbing the rest. Headcount limits. Set a minimum so an event calls itself off when too few commit, and a maximum so the seats cannot be oversold. A group feed. Announcements, photos and the conversation about them in one place, so the plan and the talk about the plan are not in two different apps. Event chat. A thread per event, which disappears from your life when the event is over. Photos. Shared to the group, not to the internet. Results. Log who won. Settle it next time with a leaderboard instead of memory. An address book. Keep the people you actually invite, with the details you actually need, separate from your phone's contacts. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Every group is invite only. There is no public feed, no discovery, no recommendations and no strangers. Your group sees your group. That is the whole model. No ads. No trackers. No third-party analytics. MySocialCal is for the standing plan that keeps almost happening. Make it happen.Read more
