About

Know it cold. Some things belong in your head, not on a page. The numbers for tomorrow's meeting. The names on a new account. The four things you have to say in a speech. Recall is built for exactly that. TYPE IT THE WAY YOU'D SAY IT "Northwind has 212 stores." One line. Recall files it under the right subject, writes the question, and keeps the detail and the date it was true. TWO WAYS TO HOLD IT Pick how each subject lives in your head. Direct, for facts in any order: every question gets a picture that fits it, a house for "how many homes?", a crown for "who's the CEO?". When a fact won't stick, give it a hook: the picture doing something with the answer. Images that move and collide are what memory holds onto. WALK YOUR OWN HOUSE Or Route, for things that come in order. This is the method of loci, the memory technique speakers have leaned on for two and a half thousand years. Pick a route you know cold: your house, your commute, even your own body from feet to hair. Each fact waits at a stop along it, with a scene playing out there: 212 tiny shops crammed onto your front doorstep. To recall the lot, you walk the route in your head, and Recall's Walk test takes you through it stop by stop. Recall gives you the route, the stops and the walk. You supply the scenes. RIDE THE MEMORY MAP Each subject is a line like a tube map, each fact a station. Where two facts are easy to mix up, an interchange links them, with one line that tells them apart. TEST YOURSELF Question first. Say it in your head, then reveal. Missed, Shaky or Got it. The memories you fumble come straight back in the same session, and a quiet scheduler brings each fact round again just before you'd forget it. Nothing nags. No notifications, no streaks. The schedule only shows itself when you choose to study. EVERY SUBJECT HAS A LOOK A colour and a drafting pattern together, so a card's look is a cue before you read a word. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No server. Everything you type stays on your phone. Free for 7 days, then £1.99 a month, cancel any time. Or unlock it for good, once. Two ways to remember. Recall 1.1 lets every subject work the way your memory does. Direct, for facts in any order: each question gets a picture that fits it, and a hook for the ones that won't stick. Route, for things in order: each fact waits at a stop on a walk you know, and the new Walk test takes you through it, stop by stop. Plus: tie any number to something you already know, and hooks that step back once a fact is yours.
