Watch Me Go is an Apple Watch location-reporting app designed to help families stay informed about a Watch wearer’s reported location. The Apple Watch acts as the family’s location-reporting device, sending location, battery, accuracy, and connection information to a secure companion dashboard used by authorized parents and guardians. WHAT THE APPLE WATCH DOES • Displays a temporary pairing code used to connect the Watch securely to an authorized family account. • Requests the Watch wearer’s permission to access location information. • Sends periodic location reports to the family’s companion dashboard. • Provides location accuracy, battery level, and connection information with each available report. • Supports Track Me sessions that request more frequent location reports and provide recent path information. • Provides a Watch-face complication showing whether Watch Me Go is tracking, starting, or needs attention. • Opens Watch Me Go with a single tap of the complication. • Allows the Watch wearer to reopen the app when tracking needs attention. • Allows adult Watch wearers to stop and restart location reporting. WHAT PARENTS AND GUARDIANS CAN DO FROM THE COMPANION DASHBOARD • Pair one or more Apple Watches with the family using the temporary pairing code displayed on each Watch. • View each Watch’s latest reported location on a family map. • Initiate a phone call to the selected Watch. • See when a location was measured and when the report was received. • Review the reported battery level, connection status, and location accuracy. • Select an individual Watch for additional location details. • Start a Track Me session to request more frequent reports. • View recent location breadcrumbs showing the Watch’s reported path. • Monitor whether the Watch is actively reporting or has not made recent contact. PRIVACY AND AGE-APPROPRIATE PROTECTION Location information is sensitive, especially when a child is involved. Watch Me Go connects each Apple Watch to its authorized family account through a temporary pairing code. During pairing, the parent or guardian identifies whether the Watch wearer is an adult or a minor. Adult Watch wearers receive their own tracking controls. Watches assigned to minors use protected tracking behavior intended to prevent the Watch wearer from disabling family location reporting. Account verification and secure pairing help prevent a Watch from being connected to an unauthorized family account. HOW TO GET STARTED Parents and guardians begin at watchmego.app, where they create their family account and enter the temporary pairing code displayed by the Apple Watch. The companion dashboard operates through a modern web browser on a phone, tablet, or computer, so no companion iPhone app is required. Once pairing is complete and tracking is started, the Apple Watch sends available location reports to the authorized family dashboard. PLEASE REMEMBER Location reports and path breadcrumbs depend on the Apple Watch’s location permissions, internet connection, battery level, GPS conditions, and watchOS background operation. Reports may sometimes be delayed, less precise, or unavailable. Watch Me Go provides families with helpful location information.
