About
Guyun is a file manager for object storage you already own. Point it at a bucket on AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, MinIO, Alibaba Cloud OSS, or any other S3-compatible service, and your files go straight from your Mac, iPhone or iPad to your own storage. There is no account to create, no server of ours in the middle, and nothing to buy inside the app. ■ Try it before you have any storage Guyun ships with a local demo storage: sample photos, a video and a PDF are generated on your device. No account, no keys, no network — browse, preview, upload, rename, copy, move, delete and restore, the whole app, without entering a single credential. ■ Why keep files in your own storage Most cloud drives keep your files on the vendor's servers, and the vendor decides the speed, the capacity and the price. Guyun does it the other way round: the bucket is yours, the keys are yours, the bill is yours. The app provides no cloud space and takes no cut of your storage — you pay your provider's published rates, and only for what you actually use. ■ What it does · Browse and manage: grid and list, sorting by name, modified time or size, whole-storage search (the entire bucket, not only the folder you are in), new folders, rename, copy and move · Upload and download: whole folders, from Files or Photos, through a transfer queue you can pause and resume, with a small pill that always shows progress; downloads go to a folder or to Photos · Background transfers on iPhone and iPad: files up to 200 MB finish after you switch apps or lock the screen; larger files continue during a background slot the system grants · Archive storage: files in an archive or cold-archive class are marked; opening one asks before starting a restore (time, your provider's billing, no cancellation), and then works normally · Preview: images zoom, video starts playing while it is still loading, PDF and text open directly · Trash: a delete moves the item into the bucket's own trash folder, where it can be restored or removed for good · Several devices: the same bucket on Mac, iPhone and iPad; a configuration can be handed to another device by QR code instead of typing keys by hand · Make it yours: an icon per storage, the sidebar in your order, and a storage hidden from the sidebar when you do not need it (Settings → Storage services brings it back) · Locks: Face ID / Touch ID for the whole app, or for one storage only; transfers keep running while the app is locked ■ Privacy, in plain terms · No account and no server of ours: the app talks to the storage address you enter, and to nothing else · Access keys live in this device's Keychain — never synced, never uploaded, never written into a QR code or an exported configuration · No usage data is collected; no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no ads · Face ID / Touch ID is handled by the system, and that data never leaves your device · Both locks are screen gates, not encryption: they keep out someone who picks up your already-unlocked device ■ What Guyun does not do · It is not a sync client: no push, no folder mirroring, no automatic backup — you start a transfer and watch what happens to it. · Nothing starts on its own: no schedule, no background watching of your storage. · It does not keep your keys anywhere except your own devices. · List thumbnails come from your provider's image processing; without it, files show type icons. · Moving data between two buckets is not part of this version. ■ What you need A bucket, and an access key pair allowed to use only that bucket. For any S3-compatible service you enter the endpoint, region and bucket; for Alibaba Cloud OSS a template creates the bucket, the RAM user and the keys in one go. ■ Interface languages Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English (switch in Settings; the change applies the next time you open the app). There is no account to create, no server of ours in the middle, and nothing to buy inside the app.
■ Try it before you have any storage
Guyun ships with a local demo storage: sample photos, a video and a PDF are generated on your device. No account, no keys, no network — browse, preview, upload, rename, copy, move, delete and restore, the whole app, without entering a single credential.
■ Why keep files in your own storage
Most cloud drives keep your files on the vendor's servers, and the vendor decides the speed, the capacity and the price. Guyun does it the other way round: the bucket is yours, the keys are yours, the bill is yours. The app provides no cloud space and takes no cut of your storage — you pay your provider's published rates, and only for what you actually use.
■ What it does
· Browse and manage: grid and list, sorting by name, modified time or size, whole-storage search (the entire bucket, not only the folder you are in), new folders, rename, copy and move
· Upload and download: whole folders, from Files or Photos, through a transfer queue you can pause and resume, with a small pill that always shows progress; downloads go to a folder or to Photos
· Background transfers on iPhone and iPad: files up to 200 MB finish after you switch apps or lock the screen; larger files continue during a background slot the system grants
· Archive storage: files in an archive or cold-archive class are marked; opening one asks before starting a restore (time, your provider's billing, no cancellation), and then works normally
· Preview: images zoom, video starts playing while it is still loading, PDF and text open directly
· Trash: a delete moves the item into the bucket's own trash folder, where it can be restored or removed for good
· Several devices: the same bucket on Mac, iPhone and iPad; a configuration can be handed to another device by QR code instead of typing keys by hand
· Make it yours: an icon per storage, the sidebar in your order, and a storage hidden from the sidebar when you do not need it (Settings → Storage services brings it back)
· Locks: Face ID / Touch ID for the whole app, or for one storage only; transfers keep running while the app is locked
■ Privacy, in plain terms
· No account and no server of ours: the app talks to the storage address you enter, and to nothing else
· Access keys live in this device's Keychain — never synced, never uploaded, never written into a QR code or an exported configuration
· No usage data is collected; no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no ads
· Face ID / Touch ID is handled by the system, and that data never leaves your device
· Both locks are screen gates, not encryption: they keep out someone who picks up your already-unlocked device
■ What Guyun does not do
· It is not a sync client: no push, no folder mirroring, no automatic backup — you start a transfer and watch what happens to it.
· Nothing starts on its own: no schedule, no background watching of your storage.
· It does not keep your keys anywhere except your own devices.
· List thumbnails come from your provider's image processing; without it, files show type icons.
· Moving data between two buckets is not part of this version.
■ What you need
A bucket, and an access key pair allowed to use only that bucket. For any S3-compatible service you enter the endpoint, region and bucket; for Alibaba Cloud OSS a template creates the bucket, the RAM user and the keys in one go.
■ Interface languages
Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English (switch in Settings; the change applies the next time you open the app).

New · Archive storage: files in an archive or cold-archive class are now marked, and reading one asks before starting a restore (how long it usually takes, that your provider bills it, and that it cannot be cancelled). Once it finishes, come back and the file previews or downloads normally. · Transfer progress is visible everywhere: a small pill in the corner shows how many items are moving and how far along they are; tap it to open Transfers. · Background transfers on iOS: files up to 200 MB are handed to the system as one request, so they finish on their own after you switch apps or lock the…
