Grit Racing

Grit Racing turns the phone in your car into a live link to race control at off-road motorsport events. THIS APP ONLY WORKS AT A REGISTERED EVENT Grit Racing is not a general-purpose app and does nothing on its own. To use it, your car must be entered in an event that runs on Grit, and you enrol it with the car code and event PIN issued to you at the event. If you have downloaded it out of interest, you cannot proceed past the scan QR code screen. SET UP IN SECONDS Scan the car code from your event pack, enter the PIN from the briefing, and mount the phone. There is no sign-up and no account to create - your car is already on the entry list. WHAT IT DOES - Sends your car's GPS position to race control while you're competing, so officials can see where every car is on the course. - Streams live video from a forward-facing camera and cabin audio, for cars fitted with a camera - viewable by race control and on the public spectator feed. - Report Position: a single button that flags your location and status to race control. - Keeps sending while the screen is locked or the app is in the background, so your car doesn't drop off the map mid-stage. - Shows link health at a glance - signal, battery and connection - so you know it's getting through. - Position and video run only during the published race windows for that event. Outside those hours the app sends nothing. Cabin audio can be muted from the app at any time. IMPORTANT This is a track-viewing and telemetry tool, not a safety or emergency system. Positions and reports depend on GPS and the mobile network and can be late, wrong or absent. Always follow the emergency procedures set by race officials.
