About

Dhimmah is built around one habit: praying Fajr on time, every day. It wakes you with a Fajr prayer alarm at the time calculated for your city, then checks that you are actually awake. Within thirty minutes of the alarm you type a short dhikr on the screen, and that counts the day's dawn. Sleep through the window and the day is missed. Every dawn you keep grows a garden. It moves through stages as your streak lengthens, and it shows the real weather outside your window: rain, snow, fog and storms are drawn over the scene as they happen. A missed dawn can be recovered by completing a tasbih, a limited number of times each month. When you are excused from prayer, rest days pause the streak so nothing is lost. Prayer times and adhan All five prayer times for your location, with your choice of calculation method: Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, ISNA, Karachi, Moonsighting Committee and others. The Hijri date sits at the top, and below the times a live map shows dawn moving around the world. Each prayer can ring an adhan, vibrate, or stay silent. Pick from five reciters, or record your own adhan, line by line or in one take, and hear your own voice at every prayer. Home screen widgets show the next prayer, the open Fajr window and your streak. A second widget shows a verse of the Quran or a dua. Qibla A compass that turns to the Kaaba from wherever you stand, with the direction from north and the distance to Mecca. Quran The full Quran in the Hafs and Warsh readings, with the Pickthall English translation. Search by surah name or number, and set a mark where you stopped so you can continue reading later. Ilm A ten-question daily challenge on the Quran, the Seerah, the Sahaba, the Prophets, the pillars of Islam and Islamic history, with three difficulty levels, a timer on each question and a daily leaderboard. Practice rounds are unlimited and unscored. Sabha A floating tasbih bead that stays on every screen. Count in cycles of 33 with the phrases rotating, in cycles of 99, or freely, with a gentle tap at each bead and a stronger one at each milestone. Ranks Your record in one place: current streak, best streak, total Fajrs and comebacks, alongside anonymous leaderboards for each. Privacy No email, no phone, no name. Dhimmah creates an anonymous account and gives you a recovery code so you can bring your record to a new phone. No ads, no trackers, no data sold. Your location is rounded to city level before it is stored anywhere. You can delete your account at any time from Settings or from the website. Available in Arabic and English.Read more
