Shire Rail is the pocket companion to the railway on Shirecraft, a community Minecraft server that has been running since October 2010. Its players have built one of the largest railways in any world: more than 600 stations, over 70 services, and some 500 kilometres of track. Now it fits in your pocket. PLAN A JOURNEY Pick any two stations and get the fastest route, or the one with the fewest changes, with every stop, change and travel time laid out. Can't decide where to go? Book a Mystery Excursion and let the Transit Authority choose. ISSUE YOURSELF A TICKET Every journey comes with a ticket: a single, a return or a day rover, each in its own colours and complete with a scannable-looking code on the stub. On special days across the Shire's calendar, every fare is free. Keep your tickets in the wallet, or share one with a friend. EXPLORE THE NETWORK Browse the whole railway on a map you can pinch and drag. See the Shire from above, with the world drawn beneath the lines, or switch to a tidy diagram that is easiest to follow. Tap any station to see its details. WITNESS THE STATIONS YOU VISIT Claim your Minecraft name, then ride. Whenever the live map shows you standing at a station, Shire Rail witnesses it and adds it to your book. Complete every station on a line to earn its certificate, and chase the Station of the Week for a commemorative mark. It is a collection measured in years.
