Work out anchor cable (chain or rope) length from your chosen scope, water depth, bow height and expected water-level changes. See the calculated swing envelope, keep your boat's setup and share a clear plan with your crew. START WITH FREE CORE PLANNING - Calculate target rode length in metres or feet. - Account for bow height and the water-level rise you expect during your stay. - Add boat length to see the calculated swing envelope. - Enter an expected fall to assess straight-line bow reach at low water. - Compare the target with the usable chain and rope you carry. - Keep one reusable boat profile and up to three named plans. - Place a proposed anchor on the map or enter coordinates, then save the position with your plan. - Share a basic text briefing with your crew. Core calculations and the swing diagram work offline, without an Anchor Ready account. Apple Maps imagery and area search need a connection. Location access is optional and helps you find a nearby area; you confirm the proposed anchor position yourself.
