About
Tempoa is a metronome + tuner app for iOS, built to match the feature set of professional-grade tuner hardware, all in a single iPhone app — plus extras hardware can't do: visual themes, gradual tempo training, and a song library. No account required. 【METRONOME】 30–300 BPM range, driven by AVAudioEngine sample-accurate scheduling (not a plain Timer), so long sessions never drift — beat timing stays accurate to the millisecond. ◆ 10 time signatures: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 2/2, 3/8, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, 12/8 — tap to pick from a grid ◆ Subdivisions: quarter, eighth, triplet, sixteenth notes ◆ Custom accents: tap any beat dot to cycle accent / normal / mute, reflected instantly in the beat lights ◆ Three click sounds: Electronic, Wood Block, and Mechanical (filtered noise transient synthesis for a more realistic strike) ◆ Tap Tempo: tap along to set the BPM automatically, with haptic feedback on every tap ◆ Visual beat display: a swinging needle and jewel-toned beat lights for quiet practice spaces ◆ Silent Practice Mode: a glowing screen edge and haptic buzz mark the beat, layered with or in place of audio — great for libraries, late-night practice, or anywhere you can't play sound ◆ Background playback: keeps running when you switch apps or lock the screen, controllable from the Lock Screen / Control Center 【TUNER】 ◆ Full-range chromatic pitch detection with a needle and numeric cents display ◆ 5 instrument modes: Chromatic, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Violin — each tuned to that instrument's frequency range ◆ Adjustable calibration: A4 = 415–466 Hz ◆ External instrument input supported: connect via a Lightning/USB-C instrument cable adapter and the app automatically switches input sources, even mid-session if you plug or unplug; the current input source name is shown on screen ◆ Microphone audio is analyzed entirely on-device in real time — never recorded, retained, or sent to any server 【PRACTICE TOOLS】 ◆ Tempo Trainer: set a start/target BPM and bars-per-step, and the tempo gradually ramps up (or down) automatically ◆ Setlist: save song name, BPM, time signature, and accent pattern as a preset, and apply it with one tap before rehearsal or a show 【FOUR THEMES】 Piano Black, Piano White, Ink & Brass, and Warm Ivory — swipe left or right on the Metronome screen to switch. All four use a flat, solid-color design built around a refined, warm aesthetic — no gradients or drop shadows. 【ACHIEVEMENTS】 16 collectible badges covering practice streaks, cumulative practice time, Adagio/Presto tempo challenges, rhythm exploration (time signatures, sound kits, and themes only count while actually playing), and first-try discovery rewards. Unlocking one triggers a falling-confetti celebration. Check your progress and unlock conditions anytime in Settings → Achievements. 【HOME SCREEN WIDGET】 Add the Tempoa widget to your Home Screen to see your last-used BPM, time signature, or song at a glance — tap it to jump straight into the app. 【FREE TO USE】 A daily free usage allowance is included. When it runs out, watch a rewarded ad to extend it; watch a second ad and usage is unlimited for the rest of the day (resets daily). A one-time "Remove Ads" in-app purchase permanently removes the limit. 【APP LANGUAGE】 The interface supports Traditional Chinese, English, and Japanese — switch anytime in Settings, and the entire app updates instantly. 【PRIVACY】 No account is required. Microphone audio used by the tuner is analyzed entirely on-device (autocorrelation algorithm) and is never recorded, retained, or sent to any cloud service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
