talkdot

talkdot is a world map you can leave a short voice on. Pick a spot, write up to 280 characters, and it becomes a dot anyone can find by moving the map there. No account. No sign-up, no profile, no follower counts. A voice stands on its own, tied to a place instead of a person. The app never asks where you are. You aim your voice by hand on the map; device location is never read and the permission is never requested. A theme of the day gives you a nudge when you don't know what to write. Voices in other languages can be translated on the device with Apple's translation models; you can turn this off in settings. One quiet notification, off until you opt in: the first time someone hears a voice you left. Nothing else is ever sent. Voices live and fade. Hearts keep them around a little longer. For adults (18+), with clear rules: no threats, harassment, doxxing or illegal content. A filter refuses threats before publication, every voice has a report button, reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and you can hide anything you don't want to see. Rules: https://talkdot.app/rules No ads. No analytics SDKs. No tracking. The app keeps nothing about you beyond what it needs to run, and "Erase local data" in settings wipes everything it stored on the device.
