About
Definite Chief Aim is a writing-and-reading practice, and nothing more. You write one clear statement of what you will have, what you will give for it, and by when. You sign it. Then you read it aloud every day, and the app keeps count. No account, no feed, no advice: everything you write stays on your phone. The practice comes from the first step of Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich (1937) — the Definite Chief Aim. This app is an independent work and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Napoleon Hill Foundation. WRITE IT ONCE Six questions, one per screen: your name, what you will be, what you will give in return, when you begin and with what, by what date and how much, and how you will live. Your answers become one written statement in the classic form. Sign it with your finger. Seal it. READ IT EVERY DAY Choose one to five readings a day — Hill asked for two, on waking and before sleep. One reminder for each, never more. Read it aloud, mark it read. WATCH THE GOLD ACCUMULATE Every day you read adds a gold bar to your vault. A day you miss simply isn't there — nothing empties, nothing resets, nothing scolds. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN A widget shows the first line of your aim and the day you are on. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account and no server. Your aim, your signature and your reading record never leave your phone, and your aim is never shown on the lock screen. The app collects no data. THE PRICE The first week is free. After it, marking readings and the vault need a single one-time purchase — no subscription — and it stays with you on every phone you own, including through Family Sharing. Reading your aim and the reminders are always free.Read more
