bible noir

bible noir sends you one passage from the King James Bible each day, at a time you choose — drawn at random from a curated set of the text's most violent, disturbing, and difficult passages: genocide, cannibalism, infanticide, sexual violence, and execution, presented exactly as they appear in scripture. This is not a devotional app. It's built for readers who want to engage with the Bible as a historical and literary document — including the parts that rarely get quoted from a pulpit. Every passage is real, unaltered King James text, cited by book, chapter, and verse, so you can look up the full context yourself. WHAT TO EXPECT • One passage per day, delivered as a notification at your chosen local time • Drawn randomly from a rotating pool of the Bible's darkest content — no fixed order, no easing you in • Full source citation with every passage • No ads, no accounts, no data collection — everything stays on your device CONTENT WARNING This app contains graphic descriptions of disturbing themes drawn directly from scripture. It is intended for a mature audience and is not suitable for children under 13. bible noir does not soften the text or explain it away. It just shows you what is there.
