Days Away: Holiday Countdown

About

Days Away counts down to your next trip and quietly gets you ready for it. Add a trip in a minute: where, when, who is going. Your destination can get an AI-generated picture, clearly labelled as such, and the countdown starts, on the Home screen, on the lock screen and in a widget. On the last day it counts the hours. Everything about the trip lives in one place: the flights with their times and gates, the hotel, the car, the day-by-day plan, the packing list and the photos you take there. READY BEFORE YOU GO The app builds a checklist from your trip: passport validity for the destination, check-in windows, what to pack for the weather and the activities. Tick things off, add your own, and see at a glance whether you are ready. FLIGHTS, ON THE DAY Type a flight number and the timetable is found for you. On the day of travel the app checks the status, the gate and the terminal, and the flight appears on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island as a Live Activity. SHARE A BOOKING, DONE Share a confirmation email, a PDF or a photo of it with Days Away and the flights and hotel are read out of it. No typing. FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY Add the people who travel with you, keep their passport expiry dates in sight, and share a trip as a file. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your trips stay on your phone. There is no account and no tracking. Backups go to your own iCloud if you turn them on. Only what a lookup needs (a flight number, a place name, the text of a confirmation you choose to read) is sent to the app's own service. The service caches flight and image results for limited periods; it does not cache confirmation text. Passport details are typed in and never leave the phone. OpenAI may retain API data under its safety policy. FREE AND PLUS Free: one trip with everything you type in yourself — the countdown, the widget, the plan, the packing list, and the Sun and Snow covers or your own photo. Hand-typed flights, or one searched journey per trip. Plus (€12.99 once, lifetime): unlimited trips, AI-generated pictures for any place, unlimited timetable search, live flight status with gate and terminal, the Live Activity on your lock screen, and pasting a confirmation to fill in flights and hotel. Shared with your family through Family Sharing. Not a subscription. Works in English, French and German.Read more
