Memorybound

Memorybound requires a subscription. A 7-day free trial is included; after the trial, an annual subscription is required to keep using the app. Everything described below is part of that subscription. Some photos are meant to be searched. Others are meant to be held, turned over, written on, and remembered. Memorybound is a vintage-inspired photo album designed specifically for iPad. Instead of turning your memories into another photo grid, Memorybound lets you place them inside a book you can actually flip through, arrange by hand, write on, and revisit over time. A photo album that feels like a real book Create multiple albums, choose their covers, write titles, and keep them together on a virtual bookshelf. In portrait mode, each page fills the iPad like a physical album page. In landscape, the album opens into a two-page spread with a central spine, paper depth, shadows, and realistic page-turning animations. Pages bend and follow your touch as you turn them, accompanied by optional paper sounds. Arrange photos like real prints Import photos from your library and organize them by shooting date, or place them freely wherever they belong. Photos can appear with traditional print-style borders instead of being locked into a rigid grid. Resize, rotate, move, and combine them to create pages that feel handmade rather than generated. Flip a photo over Double-tap a photo to enlarge it, then swipe to turn it over like a real printed photograph. On the back, Memorybound can show its date, time, and location, bringing back something digital photography has mostly lost: the back of the photograph. Write with Apple Pencil Write directly on album pages, or turn a photo over and write on its back — just like writing on a real print. Your handwriting is stored separately from the original image instead of being permanently flattened into it, preserving the original strokes you actually wrote. Find memories by person Start from a face in one photo and find other photos containing the same person. Browse and organize memories around the people who appear in them. You can also erase someone from an album: their face is covered with an ink smudge inside Memorybound, and can be brought back at any time. The original photo in your system library is never touched. Organize by time and place Rediscover a trip, a year, a city, or a period of your life using the original date and location information stored with your photos. Turn digital photos into a roll of film Reimagine a day or a trip as a traditional film roll, complete with frame numbers, 35mm-style film strips, and contact sheets. Add a sense of depth Compatible photos can be presented with depth and parallax effects, giving selected memories a more dimensional appearance on iPad. Your original photos stay untouched Borders, layouts, handwriting, person effects, and other album treatments do not alter the original photos in your system photo library. Memorybound stores the way a photo belongs inside the album — its position, size, rotation, handwriting, and visual state — while keeping the source image separate. Memorybound is not trying to help you scroll through thousands of photos faster. It is designed for something slower: to make the photos that matter worth turning through, writing on, and keeping again.
