Meridian: Network Tools

Meridian is a set of network tools that help you find your bearings on the internet. Everything runs over ordinary HTTPS — there is no account to create, nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy. OVERVIEW — YOUR CONNECTION One tap shows how the internet sees you: your public IP address, the network operator and autonomous system behind it, your approximate location, whether IPv6 is working, whether encrypted DNS resolves, and the round-trip latency to the major anycast networks. DNS LOOKUP Enter a domain and get every record over encrypted DNS — A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, SOA and CAA — each with its TTL. Meridian also asks two independent resolvers and tells you when they disagree, a sign of geo-DNS, load balancing or interference. SITE INSPECTOR Paste a link and follow the whole redirect chain by hand: every hop, its status code, the response headers, which server or CDN answers, who sets cookies, whether HSTS is present and the TLS certificate that secures the final page. IP LOOKUP Look up any IP address or hostname and see its country, city, network operator and autonomous system. PRIVACY There is no account, so there is nothing to sign in to and nothing about you to store. Your lookups go directly from your device to public DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers and IP-information services; Meridian keeps no record of them. Meridian is a diagnostics tool for anyone curious about how their network behaves — developers, administrators and the simply curious.
