About
CountLens is a tool for recording how often people or vehicles cross a line at an entrance or fixed observation point. Fix your camera in place or import a saved video, draw a line and choose the categories to count. • Review crossing events by object category and direction, with 1-, 5- or 15-minute source-time bins. • Keep tracking segments separate when the line, settings or input changes. Preserve start and end dates, active counting time excluding pauses, and analyzed video times as distinct measurements. • Share a survey summary CSV together with the original event CSV. Reports contain no photos or video. • Inspect photo detections, add missed objects, exclude false detections, change categories and undo edits. • Use separate modes for current camera counts and the highest number observed simultaneously in saved video. The app is free to use. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. No account or upload to an AI server is required for analysis. Importing an original stored only in iCloud may require a network connection through Apple. The included model supports 80 object categories. Small, occluded, fast-moving or unsupported objects may be missed or counted incorrectly. Review important results on the detection screen. A saved video’s observed maximum is not a count of unique objects across the video. Crossing counts are events, not unique people or vehicles. Only bins containing recorded events are shown; a missing bin does not confirm zero traffic. Source-time bins are not wall-clock dates or verified continuous observation.Read more
