About
Walk to clear the fog. FogTrail turns a walk into a reveal. A place arrives fogged: a region hint, a distance, a climb, a few words about the feel of it, and a misted still. No pin. No route. No name. The only way to see it is to stand there and walk. As you move, the fog lifts cell by cell over a real map. A quarter of the way in, the first still clears. Halfway, the elevation profile appears. Walk it out and the whole place is yours - route, photos, notes, and a cleared badge that stays cleared. PRESENCE IS THE KEY Scrolling doesn't count. Opening a card doesn't count. Unlock starts when you're actually there and a walk is running. YOUR STEPS, YOUR BOARD FogTrail reads your step count from Apple Health - including an Apple Watch, or anything else that writes steps there - and ranks today, this week and this month next to your own personal bests. YOUR WALKING STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE No analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your walks, your steps, your route and the fog you've lifted never leave the phone. Signing in is optional and creates a FogTrail account that holds your walker name and avatar colour - plus, if you choose Google, the email address Google hands over with your name, because it will not give one without the other. None of your walking is stored there, and "Continue without an account" skips sign-in entirely, at no cost. LOCATION IS A SESSION, NOT A SERVICE FogTrail records your path only while a walk is running - pocket the phone and it keeps going, end the walk and it stops. It never asks for Always access, so with no walk running there is no location access to use. FOGTRAIL PRO (OPTIONAL) Walking, the fog, Apple Health, the seeded places, the demo circle, opening a place a friend sends you, and keeping your first walk as a place of your own are all free. FogTrail Pro adds keeping every walk as a place, writing the hint yourself, putting your own still on it, and sending a place as a FogTrail file. Friends don't need Pro to open what you send. - FogTrail Pro Weekly - US$1.99 per week, with a 3-day free trial - FogTrail Pro Monthly - US$6.99 per month - FogTrail Pro Yearly - US$29.99 per year Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
