About
Stand at the bender, enter two numbers, get the mark. BendMark gives you the distance from the end of the pipe to every bend mark, in sixteenths of an inch, so you can find it on your tape without converting anything. Works with no signal. Nothing is fetched. FIFTEEN BENDS • Offset, rolling offset and parallel offset, evenly spaced or measured pipe by pipe for a rack of mixed sizes • Matching offset and kick: the angle that lines up with a pipe already bent, by the gap between its marks or by its rise • 3-point and 4-point saddles • 90° stub-up, back-to-back 90° and kick with 90° • Kick, parallel kick and matching kick • Compound 90° around a round, square or rectangular obstruction • Offset to fit: finish at a known length, and it says what to cut • Segment bend, for a large radius in many shots • Concentric 90°, for a bank of pipes round one corner YOUR BENDER, YOUR NUMBERS Pick Klein, Ideal, Greenlee, a rigid and IMC head, or the Greenlee 555 electric. Not listed? Type in your own take-up, gain and radius for each size. Marks follow the head you are actually holding, which is where most cut-short mistakes start. ANY ANGLE 10, 22½, 30, 45 and 60 on the chips, or type any angle from 5° to 89°. Slide a finger across any field, or across the rule on the keypad, to trim it a sixteenth at a time with a click for each step. Choose the centreline radius method for exact marks, or the classic multiplier table; where the two disagree, the app shows you both rather than pretending. READ AN ANGLE OFF THE PIPE Lay the phone on a leg you have already bent and it reads the angle off gravity. Zero it on the flat leg first, so the floor counts as nothing. MARKS WHERE YOUR BENDER WANTS THEM A hand bender lines its arrow up with the mark. Powered benders and saddle notches want the centre of the bend instead. Switch once, and every screen follows. LEARN THE TRADE Six short pages for a break in the van: take-up and gain, shrink, centreline radius, the three marks on the shoe and what each is for, the order you bend in, and working safely. ONE STICK, EVERY BEND Lay several bends on one length, get every mark from the same end, the total shrink and the pipe you need. Read them back from the far end when the bender only reaches that side. Copy the lot into your notes, save the stick, bring it back tomorrow. STEP BY STEP AT THE BENDER Every bend comes with numbered instructions: where to measure, where the arrow goes, which way to roll the pipe, how to check it. The diagram points at the mark each step is talking about, so you never lose your place. TABLES IN YOUR POCKET Offset multipliers and shrink per inch. Take-up and gain for every size. Bender specs: travel and radius adjustment at every angle, and where to scribe your own shoe so it reads angles without a protractor. Sixteenths to decimals to millimetres. Outside diameters for EMT and rigid conduit. BUILT FOR THE SITE • Sixteenths, never decimals. A tape measure has no 12.625 on it. • Feet and inches, or millimetres if that is how your prints are drawn. • Big targets you can hit with gloves on. • Plain-words warnings when a bend cannot be made, and what to change.
