About

What's on this weekend? And the one after? Weekend Buddy lays out the weekends ahead with the working week left out: the dinners, parties, trips and birthdays, and the days that are still yours. It reads the calendars you already have. There's nothing to import and no account. WEEKENDS AT A GLANCE • A grid of weekends, six to a screen, or a list. Free days are washed in colour so "which day is still mine" reads before you read a word. • One line under each weekend says what matters: "Nothing on, all yours", "Sunday's wide open", "Nothing on for the next 2 weekends". • Open a weekend and its days are laid out one under another, with the weeknights before it folded into one line. • Long weekends stretch to fit. A Monday public holiday joins the weekend before it, for your state or country. • Your weekend is yours to define. Friday 5 pm to Sunday is the default. Shift workers, hospo and four-day weeks pick what is true for them. WHAT'S COMING UP • Birthdays from your contacts and your calendar, with the weekend you would actually do something about them: "lands on a Saturday", or "closest weekend 19 to 20". • Add anniversaries and the annual catch-up by hand, and get a heads-up the weekend before. • Open a weekend and the social weeknights before it are there. Dinners and gigs show up; standups and dentists don't. • A guess is only ever a suggestion you include or dismiss. On an iPhone that can run Apple Intelligence, the sorting happens on your device. PLANS WITHOUT THE ADMIN • Pencil something in with no time and no calendar event. "Beach?" can sit on a Saturday without lying about your availability. • Confirm it later, tag it, set a reminder from the app. • Or keep a plan in your calendar, if that is where you want it. It goes in once, on your say-so, and nothing is copied or synced behind your back. WHICH WEEKEND AM I STILL FREE? • Find free lists every free and half-free weekend ahead, soonest first, and marks the long ones. • Type what you mean: "October", "long weekend", "Sunday", or a friend's name for the week of their birthday. • Share the dates as a line of text or a tile, so "when are you free?" gets an answer in one tap. WIDGETS, SIRI AND SHORTCUTS • Widgets in every Home Screen size and on the Lock Screen: this weekend, the next free weekend, or the next six at a glance. The Lock Screen shows dates and counts, never what your plans are. • A Control Center button that opens the next free weekend. • Ask Siri "Next free weekend in Weekend Buddy", or "Am I free next weekend". • A Friday morning summary, if you want one. One notification, once a week. Nothing else unless you ask. THE CALENDARS YOU ALREADY HAVE • Works with every calendar your iPhone already shows: iCloud, Google, Outlook, Exchange, subscribed calendars. Nothing to import and nothing to set up. • Your plans, tags and settings sync between your devices through your own iCloud. No account to create. • Public holidays for Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US are built in. Other regions fetch dates only. • Anonymous counts of which screens and settings get used help decide what to build next. Never what's on your calendar.
