About

We tell you before the pressure drops. And as your logs build up, the kind of drop that tends to affect you starts to show. ■ Counts, not predictions Weather affects people differently. So Hekto looks back at the days you logged, counts the pressure on those days, and says: “On days when the pressure fell 8 hPa in six hours, you logged feeling unwell 9 times out of 12.” That is not a forecast. It is a count of what already happened. With that in hand, we can tell you when a similar drop is coming. ■ One tap on a hard day Pick a face. The pressure at that moment is saved with it. When you feel bad, you cannot fill in a long form. Open the details only when you want more: symptoms, medication, a free note. ■ See why we said that Tap “Why?” and you see what went into the call. The fall over six and twenty-four hours, how low the pressure is now, humidity, rain, and the change in temperature since yesterday. Six factors, drawn as bars. We do not hide the reasoning. The same screen also says these figures are estimates from a forecast model. ■ Medication counter It counts the days you took headache medication over the last 30 days. The International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD-3) calls it “overuse” when painkillers are taken on 15 or more days a month, or triptans and similar on 10 or more, kept up for longer than three months. It gives you something concrete to show your doctor. This feature never checks whether you have paid. ■ Warning signs Some combinations of symptoms bring up a screen suggesting you see a doctor. Both the trigger and the wording follow published, general guidance. It is not the result of an examination. This is free too. We do not put a lock on anything related to safety. ■ No ads Not one. And we will not shrink the free tier later. ■ Free, and staying free ・Logging how you feel and what you took ・2-day forecast and alerts ・Alerts for your saved locations ・The medication counter ・Warning signs and the doctor summary The same list appears inside the app, word for word. Also on Apple Watch: now and the next 12 hours, one tap to log even offline, and on your watch face. ■ What Hekto Pro adds ・Pressure forecast out to 10 days ・Your full history, and its overlap with pressure ・Alerts set to your own threshold ・PDF and CSV for a period you choose Yearly and weekly plans. Prices are shown by the App Store. Free trial length is shown in the app, per plan. ■ You might want this if ・You reliably feel worse before it rains ・A typhoon or a storm once put you in bed ・You would like some say in which day the big meeting lands on ・People tell you it is in your head, and you are not so sure ・You never know what to tell the doctor, or how ■ Please read Hekto is not a medical device. It does not find illness, and it does not decide treatment. For decisions about your health or treatment, talk to a medical professional. Do not skip an appointment, or change what your doctor told you, because of something Hekto showed. Weather explains only part of it. The same sky can leave you fine one day and not the next. So the days we get wrong stay in your records too. ■ Your data ・Logs are kept on your device, and sync if you sign in ・You can use the app without signing in ・You can delete individual logs, or your whole account, from inside the app ・What we send to others is written in the privacy policy ■ Sources Weather data: Open-Meteo (national weather services' numerical models) Method informed by: Katsuki 2023 and others Medication-day thresholds: ICHD-3 (International Classification of Headache Disorders, 3rd edition) The full list is in the app, under About this app → Sources.
