Foliata: Plant Identifier

Foliata names the plant in front of you and keeps what you find. POINT AND KNOW Hold the camera to a leaf, a flower or a whole plant. Recognition runs on your phone, so the answer usually arrives in a moment without anything leaving it. When the phone cannot name what it sees and you are online, one photograph goes to our server for a second opinion and is dropped as soon as the answer comes back. There is a switch for that in settings. WORKS WHERE PLANTS GROW No signal in the forest, on the trail or in the garden is not a problem. Download a region pack for your country once and every card, photo and care note is on the device. A HERBARIUM THAT GROWS WITH YOU Every find gets a label with a number, a date and, if you want, a place. Look-alike species sit side by side so you can tell them apart. Export the whole collection as CSV with photos whenever you like. CARE THAT REMINDS YOU Save a houseplant and Foliata tells you when it needs water — one quiet notification, never marketing. IN YOUR LANGUAGE The app speaks 47 languages, with common plant names for each. FREE AND PREMIUM Three identifications a day are free, forever. Premium removes the limit and unlocks the full plant cards: $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, both with a 3-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your account settings. PRIVACY Photos you take stay in the app on your phone, and deleting your account removes them. The exception is the one photograph sent for a second opinion: it produces the answer and nothing else, is not stored by us and is not used to train anything. Analytics and crash reports are collected only if you allow them, and never include your name, email or photos.
