About

A private register of what you own, what you wear, and what you want. The Rotation keeps one accurate record of a watch collection: references, serial numbers, photographs, what was paid, what it is worth, when it was serviced, and every day it spent on the wrist. The record a claim or an executor asks for, kept properly, and kept to yourself. THE REGISTER File a watch from its photograph or by hand. Serial numbers stay in the register and never appear on a card. A daily wear log answers the question a collection quietly asks — what actually gets worn, and what has not left the drawer since spring. THE TIMEGRAPHER The phone's microphone is an instrument. Hold a mechanical watch to it and the app reads its rate in seconds a day, its beat error, and its beat rate, then files the reading against that watch. It settles on an answer or it refuses; it will not report a rate it cannot hear. Readings build a bench record over time. THE OBSERVATORY Your collection ranked at the bench, as the observatories once ranked them, on the median of each watch's last three readings. Mark a watch against the clock over days and the register charts its drift against COSC, METAS, or its own order of accuracy. THE ROTATION REPORT A monthly account of the collection, set like a page rather than a dashboard: what you wore, what stayed in the box, what moved in value, and what falls due. Nothing is sent to you. It waits. THE REGISTRAR An assistant that answers about your own register and nothing else, and that can file a watch, log a day's wear or record a service when you ask it to. It proposes; you confirm. Identification from a photograph proposes a reference and says how sure it is, and declines when the evidence does not support one. WHAT IT IS NOT It is not a marketplace. Nothing is listed, nothing is brokered, no commission exists, and we earn nothing when you buy or sell a watch. It is not an authentication service. Identification proposes a reference; it never certifies that a watch is genuine. It is not a valuation service. A value in your register is an estimate: your own, or one the Registrar proposes from public prices for you to accept or change. Nothing here is an appraisal, an insurance valuation, or financial advice. PRIVACY Your register is yours. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to train anything. There are no adverts and no trackers. Audio from the bench is analysed on the device. A take you choose to keep is filed with the reading, so the watch can be heard again from its record. Reading and exporting your register stay free for as long as you keep it, whether or not your membership is current. Membership pays for what costs us something to run: the Registrar, identification, and the copy of your register that follows you between devices. — Membership is an auto-renewing subscription.
