Most people put sunscreen on once in the morning and never think about it again. Umbré is the part you forget. It reads the UV index where you are, tells you what protection the day calls for, and reminds you when to put more on. Reviewed and approved by Melanoma Canada. WHAT IT DOES • Live UV where you are and in any other places you add, with today's curve so you can see when it peaks • One tap when you put sunscreen on starts the countdown to your next application • Reminders on your terms: every few hours while the UV is up, or at times you set • A home-screen and Lock Screen widget that keeps its own reading up to date • A log of what you applied, so you can see your own habits • A short skin-type questionnaire, so the guidance speaks to your skin NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE There is no account and no sign-up. Your skin type, your log and your settings live on your device and are deleted when you delete the app. The only thing sent out is a pair of map coordinates, to a weather service, to ask what the UV is there. FREE Umbré is free to download and use, with no subscription. WHAT THIS APP IS NOT Umbré gives general sun-safety guidance. It is not medical advice and cannot diagnose anything.
