About

The companion for MessageStage on Apple TV. Pair once — you approve every pairing on the television itself, with matching codes on both screens — and your iPhone or iPad becomes a live remote control for the message on the TV. TYPE ON YOUR PHONE, SEE IT ON THE TV Edit the message text with your phone keyboard and send it to the television. Or compose a new message from scratch: type or dictate, pick one of the designed looks, choose how it moves, set the speed, and send. The television saves every message to its own library before showing it. FULL LIVE CONTROL Switch display modes, change the look, adjust motion speed, pause and resume, blank the screen, step through cards, and engage or release Display Lock — with the same rules the Siri Remote follows. The television stays in charge: anything it refuses, it refuses with a reason, in plain words on your phone. HONEST, LIVE STATE The phone shows what the television reports, not what it hopes. Pause with the Siri Remote and the phone's button flips by itself. Lock the display on the TV and the phone shows the lock and disables exactly what the lock disables. PHOTOGRAPHS AND FILES Send a photo from your library straight onto the television as a message background — MessageStage checks it, resizes it and handles legibility for you. Move messages in and out as scene packages: export builds a file you can keep in Files or share, and import sends one to the Apple TV. EVERY APPLE TV YOU HAVE Pair with as many Apple TVs as you like. The app lists them all with their live connection state, and you tap one to control it. Send to All puts the same message — or the same pause or blank — on every connected television at once, and then tells you exactly what happened on each one: sent, refused and why, or not reachable. A television that is switched off says so. Each Apple TV stays in charge of itself. Nothing is copied between them, and everything a companion asks for is decided on the television that receives it. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything happens on your home network over encrypted connections. No account, no cloud, no analytics, and message content never leaves your home. Companion access is off by default on the television, every pairing needs your approval on the TV screen, and any device can be revoked from the TV at any time. REQUIREMENTS Requires an Apple TV running the MessageStage app (version 2.0 or later) with the one-time MessageStage Pro unlock, purchased on the television. Both devices must be on the same network.Read more
