About
Dwindle is a solitaire you can play with one thumb in about ninety seconds. Deal cards into a line. Look at any three in a row. If the two on the outside share a suit or a number, tap the one in the middle: it slides left onto its neighbour and the line closes up. Keep dealing, keep collapsing, and watch the line dwindle. Finish the deck with just two piles and you've won. Fewer piles is always better. It was taught to the maker by his dad, and it's built to feel like exhaling. Cards are big enough to read at arm's length. Nothing hurries you, nothing shouts, nothing punishes. Undo is unlimited. Hints are on for your first three games and then out of your way. • Play a hand yourself, or tap play and watch the game play itself at the speed you choose • A Daily Deal - the same shuffle for everyone, every day • Simple stats: games, wins, your best, your streaks • Light and dark themes, two card backs, a left-handed layout • Soft paper-and-felt sounds and gentle haptics, both optional Free, with nothing behind it: no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no internet connection, and it asks for no permissions at all. It never collects anything about you. Dwindle is a cousin of the old eliminator games Royal Marriage and Push-Pin (1890s), stripped back to one rule you can hold in your head. Accessibility options include a four-colour deck, a larger display mode, reduced motion, and Spoken play, which reads the board aloud as you play.Read more
