CROSS-EDU LINK Child

CROSS-EDU LINK Child is the app on the child's phone, built with no secrets: kids always see which features their parent turned on and why. It connects with an 8-character code or a QR code from the CROSS-EDU LINK Parent app. LESSONS THAT STICK Short lessons about internet safety — cyberbullying, passwords, strangers online, dangerous challenges — with scenarios where the child chooses what they would do and gets a calm, kid-friendly answer. Points, badges and day streaks, never leaderboards between children. SAFE BROWSER A start page with recommended resources and protected browsing: unsuitable pages are stopped and gently explained, never with blame. Parents see categories only, never the visited addresses. SOS IN ONE TAP The SOS button alerts the parent instantly, with the location at that moment and a short message chosen by the child: "I want to talk", "Come get me", "Just checking". Helpline numbers are always at hand, and "Report a problem" covers everything else. TRANSPARENT BREAKS When it is time for a break, the chosen apps pause with a screen that explains why, without punitive messages. The child can ask for a few extra minutes and the parent answers from their app. WHAT IS ON, ALWAYS VISIBLE The home screen shows, in plain words, every feature the parent turned on: location, safe browser, signal analysis, notifications, screen time. Nothing happens behind the child's back. The app is free, ad-free, available in Romanian, Ukrainian and English, and works together with CROSS-EDU LINK Parent. It is built in the Romania–Ukraine cross-border project CROSS-EDU LINK (Interreg NEXT).
