About
MY DPP turns your shoes into a record of where you have been. Register a pair by scanning the NFC tag inside it, then record the walks you take in them. Every route is drawn on your map, every kilometre is added to that pair's total, and the photos you take along the way are saved to the day they belong to. Over time, each pair builds a history: how far it has carried you, and where. WHAT YOU CAN DO Register your shoes Scan the NFC tag in a pair to link it to your account, or pick a pair from your shelf if you would rather not scan. Record a walk Tap Start walk and MY DPP tracks your route and distance until you tap End walk. Recording continues while your phone is in your pocket, and a notification stays visible the whole time. See your map Every walk you finish is added to a personal map. Zoom out to see everywhere a pair of shoes has taken you. Keep the memories Add photos to any day's album and write a note about the walk. Albums are organised by date, beside the walk they belong to. Follow your progress Daily steps and calories on your home screen, walking challenges to work towards, and badges as you reach milestones. Walk with friends Add friends and see who else is out walking. A DIGITAL PRODUCT PASSPORT MY DPP is built on the idea that a physical product should carry its own history. The record each pair builds, how long you have owned it and how far you have walked in it, is what a digital product passport is for: showing what a product's real life looks like before it is replaced. ABOUT PERMISSIONS Location records the route and distance of a walk, including while the app is in the background, and only between Start walk and End walk. Health data is optional. If you allow it, MY DPP reads your step count to measure a walk, and your most recent heart rate to show on your home screen. Heart rate stays on your device. Camera and photos are used only for pictures you choose to add.Read more
